Cane Drivers
The Cane Drivers are a group of students ages 13 -19 who currently meet virtually the 2nd Saturday of each month. The activities/events of this group are planned and implemented by the students. Through fun activities this group works on skills such as leadership, self-advocacy, daily living and socialization. Cane Drivers Retreat - 2023
December 8 - 10, 2023, Columbia, MO
The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) of Missouri is hosting a weekend retreat for teens (ages 13-19). Throughout the weekend teens will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities to build skills in: independent living, self-advocacy, leadership, and socialization.
This form serves as an application/permission to participate document to be completed by parents/guardians and their teen. There are limited spaces available, so please complete the form no later than Wednesday November 22nd. We will review the applications, make selections, and notify all families by November 30th. Parents/guardians of teens who are selected will be required to arrange transportation for their teen to and from Columbia. More information will be sent upon selection.
