2024 Scholarship Application

Before starting this online application it is STRONGLY advised to have the following items completed and information available:

►  Proof of legal blindness (a high resolution scan into one single pdf file).  This could be from a doctor, school or agency whose services are based on legal blindness.  NOTE - you must be able to provide the original upon request.

►  Provide the names of two individuals that will be submitting a letter of recommendation.  These individuals should be familiar with your academic performance and MUST send their recommendations by email DIRECTLY to the Scholarship Committee Chair at scholarships@nfbmo.org.  WE WILL NOT ACCEPT LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION THAT HAVE BEEN EMAILED BY THE APPLICANT.

►  Provide an effective essay, the applicant may consider sharing about his or her life in a way that gives the committee insight into him or her. The essay should cover the ways in which one lives successfully as a blind person and describe personal goals for the future.  This file must be in txt, rtf, doc or docx format.

►  ACT or SAT scores (high school seniors only).

►  Transcripts from your high school and/or college(s) you have attended (a high resolution scan into one single pdf file).  Although high school transcripts can be helpful, they are not required for applicants that already have at least 30 college credit hours.  NOTE - you must be able to provide the originals upon request.

 

You will NOT be able to complete this application without the information listed above.

Please Note - Application deadline is February 15, 2024, after that, this application will no longer be available.
