NEWS AND UPDATES:

 

Come and join the Ivanhoe Chapter at our Blind Equality and Achievement Month (BEAM) program on October 10^th at the Ivanhoe Community Center locate at 3700 Woodland Ave. in Kansas City, MO from 10am to 2pm in conjunction with the last Farmer’s market of the season.  The Lion’s Club will be providing free vision screenings and Doctor Michael Hudak, a local Chiropractor will also be joining us to give advice on good posture and healthy chiropractic tips.  Members of the Ivanhoe Chapter will also be giving demonstrations on low and high tech tools we use to navigate life with little or no sight, giving instructions on the proper ways to introduce yourself and offer assistance if needed and We will also be giving demonstrations using altered vision glasses and nightshades to simulate what we see or don’t see to give the general public a look into our lives and how we adapt to little, no or low vision.
